25 days til Christmas Countdown- DIY Ornament

Through Christmas morning, I'll post one inspiring idea per day from my Holiday Collection.

Looking for an easy ornament to make with your kids or as a clever hostess gift?.  This could be it!

These ornaments were part of the "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" tree I designed for the current Good Housekeeping Magazine 2012 Holiday Issue. It's now available offering three tree themed articles and lots of fun DIY.  Check it out!.

To make: Purchase 4" red balls. Purchase felt and small gold buckles at Joanne Crafts or any other fabric store. Cut felt into strips to wrap around each ball.  Then add a buckle by wrapping around the ball and gluing in the back.

Just as Easy, you can make the Ho Ho Ho ornaments too.  Purchase stick on letters at your local craft store. They come in all diferent fonts and sizes. Buy an assortment and stick away (make sure you purchase letters small enough to fit on the ball).

Tomorrow Ill show you how to make the Santa's cap ornaments!

Happy Holidays! Its time to swing into the Holiday spirit; I'm making my Christmas wreath today!
